Understand Patterns
Understanding patterns is the foundation of meaningful, long-term change. Rather than focusing only on surface-level symptoms, this stage explores the underlying ways in which thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are connected and repeated over time.
Clients are supported in identifying recurring responses, relational dynamics, and internal processes that may be contributing to distress or limitation. This includes recognising how past experiences, learned behaviours, and emotional patterns continue to influence present-day reactions.
The aim is not simply awareness, but accurate understanding. By developing a clearer picture of what is happening and why, clients are able to move beyond confusion or frustration and begin to see their experiences in a more structured and coherent way.
This process is collaborative and paced appropriately, allowing space for reflection while maintaining focus. It creates the conditions necessary for informed, intentional change, rather than reactive or short-term solutions.
